It is a complex lubricating mineral oil, designed for the lubrication of guides, slides, tables, surfaces and sliding columns of machine tools. It is obtained by mixing different components and is characterized by a very low coefficient of static friction (that is, when stationary, at start) and, in particular, lower than dynamic (ie moving), to ensure a smooth and uniform progression of wagons and boards, even if subjected to heavy loads. In fact, they slow down, approaching the limit switch, and they come to a stop, for a moment, before resuming the reverse return motion. At this time, if the coefficient of static friction was higher, as it normally does, at the coefficient of dynamic friction, the carriage or the table would object to greater resistance to movement, causing first a longer stop and then a brusque and quicker start.
