Family: Industrial lubricants
Neat quenching oil
It is a medium viscosity oil specifically formulated for the hardening of hot and isothermal metals, of the highest quality level, obtained from a paraffinic mineral base severely refined with solvent.
The additives are of a high quality level and guarantee excellent consistency of the drastic hardening when the temperature of the oil bath changes.
This allows you to achieve the following advantages:
-Very high thermal stability: the oil is well protected against temperature changes, which would otherwise cause the molecular breakage of the bonds and therefore the well-known "cracking" phenomena.
-High resistance to oxidation: the oil, through an appropriate additivation, is able to withstand the chemical attack caused by the flapping in the presence of oxygen (air), which would determine the formation of sludge, sludge, carbon residues.
-High drastic hardening, conferred by particular «wetting» additives, which by increasing the adhesion of the lubricant on the treated pieces, reduce the layer of vapor originated by the liquid itself on the hot metal surface and poor heat conductor («calefaction»).
-Excellent constancy of the drastic hardening when the oil bath temperature changes.
-High resistance to crack formation and distortions in treated steels, to increase flexibility in component design.
-High flame and fire points for safe operations.
-Maximum hygiene-sanitary and environmental compatibility, with fumes reduced to minimum levels.
In fact, the quenching oil must remain as homogeneous as possible at every point of the fluid mass in order to have the property of continuously and quickly removing the heat, both that which is produced in the exothermic transformation of the crystallization and the internal one that tends to recover the outer surface of the metal. In this way, the piece uniformly achieves the required characteristics of hardness, elasticity, breaking load, etc., even if it is irregular in shape.
For all the characteristics listed above, the QUENCH SP FS 100 belongs to the category of so-called "long life quenching oils" which maintain their performance relatively unaltered during the most demanding operating conditions.
